Christmas Shopping at the Piney Creek

These ladies-in-jammies are lined up at the
check out counter - look at those smiles!

Each year just before Christmas, the Piney Creek holds its annual "Jammie" Party sale. Any customer who appears in their Jammies gets an extra % off the already low sale price of their purchases.

The early risers (like 6 am when it's still dark out) get the best deals so many of us tumble out before the chickens get up just to snag that little something we've had our eye on.

Don't we have pretty ladies in Story??? A little weird, but pretty. They sure do like a bargain!

Lest you think it's only the ladies who appear early in the morning on this day, let me tell you a story. One local gal - in jammies - noticed that there were several gentlemen in the store but they were not in their jammies. They seemed to be having fun challenging each woman who came in with, "That's not what you wear to bed!!" and "You don't really sleep in that, do you??"

In other places, those words could constitute harassment, but here in Story, and knowing the characters, it only made us laugh!
